For Galdi, 2025 was a particularly important year, as it reached an impressive milestone marking forty years in business, along with strategic development, which has strengthened the company’s role as a partner of choice for food packaging solutions. This path was enabled thanks to the expertise of the people who contribute daily to the company’s development, and to collaborating with a supply chain focused on shared, long-term growth.
This process also involves revamping the visual identity and integration of the company Artema Pack, specialised in end-of-line and secondary packaging solutions. Galdi has therefore strengthened its ability to position itself as a solution provider for the entire packaging line, offering customers comprehensive, integrated solutions.
The report reflects this progress through the initiatives, results and goals achieved in terms of environmental, social and governance criteria, thereby highlighting a vision that encompasses innovation, responsibility and collaboration. Galdi’s approach acknowledges that people, engagement with partners and creating shared value are key factors in building sustainable growth over time.
State-of-the-art technologies and new tools for production efficiency
Throughout 2025, Galdi pursued its path of innovation, developing solutions geared to production efficiency, digitalisation and a reduction in environmental impacts.
This approach has resulted in developing solutions designed to be increasingly intuitive, efficient and user-friendly, aimed at supporting customers in their day-to-day production management. In a sector experiencing increased difficulty in recruiting skilled workers and a high employee turnover, Galdi develops technologies that simplify the operation and maintenance of production lines, thus reducing the need for highly specialised skills and ensuring a smoother operational flow.
GAIA, in-house AI integrated into filling machines, stands out among the main projects developed during the year for Galdi’s filling machines. It was designed to analyse operational data in real time and support operators in optimising production performance, reducing waste and improving operational efficiency.
Galdi has also continued to invest in developing digital services and IIoT technologies, strengthening its activities in predictive maintenance, cybersecurity and remote support.
The company is also continuing its commitment to developing solutions that assist customers in optimising their use of resources, thus helping to reduce energy consumption and food waste throughout the life cycle of systems.
A concrete commitment to ESG issues
People, the local area and the environment remain at the heart of Galdi’s commitment in 2025. Throughout the year, the company promoted initiatives aimed at its employees, the local community and a reduction in its environmental impact. The main ones include:
- Family Audit certification;
- company welfare and an in-house gym for employees;
- using the Too Good To Go platform in the company bistro to reduce food waste;
- collaborating with the local community via initiatives with local schools and colleges, aimed at training, career guidance and promoting technical and industrial culture;
- using electricity from renewable sources with Guarantee of Origin certification;
- installing photovoltaic systems for on-site energy generation;
- offsetting emissions from natural gas using 100% Carbon-offset gas;
- ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certifications.
Supply chain and collaboration with stakeholders
Throughout 2025, Galdi further strengthened its commitment to responsible supply chain management, fostering a structured, collaborative approach to suppliers and strategic partners. The Sustainable Procurement Policy enables selection and monitoring processes to focus on environmental, social and governance criteria.
Alongside this, the company has developed an ESG supplier rating system, aimed at improving the assessment of suppliers’ performance and to encourage shared growth across the supply chain. In addition to this, suppliers are involved in the annual event focused on the supply chain, the Supplier Meeting, which provides an opportunity for engagement, sharing and alignment on key market challenges and targets for continuous improvement.
Measuring impacts to guide choices
Galdi’s path is complemented by the ongoing measurement and evaluation of results through external accreditations, allowing it to assess the effectiveness of the initiatives implemented and their impact over time.
The company has retained its EcoVadis Silver Medal with an overall score of 71 out of 100, placing it in the 86th percentile of globally assessed companies.
Galdi has also been included among the companies awarded the TOP 75 ESG Integrated Finance Sustainability Award 2025, an award given to companies that stand out for incorporating ESG principles into their business strategies and governance processes.
